Internship / Observer

Student Internships
As part of a high school class, students are accepted as interns at our facility. These students will have to fulfill certain requirements for their class and may also be assigned homework by their PT supervisor. The purpose of the internship program is to introduce students to the field of physical therapy yet maintain the privacy of our patients. Students will undergo a brief orientation about the facility, office rules, health regulations, privacy issues, dress code and expectations of the internship program. Students must submit application (see below). Space is limited.

Observer
As required by most colleges and universities, prospective physical therapy (PT) and physical therapy assistant (PTA) students must complete 40 to 100 observation hours prior to applying to PT school. The purpose of this is to introduce students to real-life physical therapy environments. All observers will undergo a brief orientation about the facility, office rules, health regulations, privacy issues, dress code and expectations of the observation program. Observers must submit application (see below). Space is limited.
